Horse Hay Feeders:

Flexi-rac is an innovative range of horse hay feeders that are breathable, flexible, durable and practical. Designed in the UK, to allow horses to eat more naturally, reducing strain on the horse’s skeletal system and muscles. The range includes: a corner hay feeder, portable feeder, field feeder and a trickle feeder for good doers.

About us:

Equisense designs is a family run business based in West Wales, headed by Moya Nicolaysen. Having owned and been involved in competing a number of horses over the last 20 years Moya understands the importance of equipment and products that are user friendly and safe for both horse and handler. Moya has A first class Bachelor of Science honours degree, an HND and an HNC, all in Equine Studies, with the main areas of study being Equine nutrition, Advanced nutrition and horse behaviour and welfare. The concept for Equisense Designs came about after Moya became tired of paying inflated prices for what she considered to be sub-standard designs and products, where it appeared little consideration had been given to the horses’ safety or welfare.

Business Aim: To design and manufacture products for the Equine market using common Sense and the best quality materials available, whilst keeping prices as reasonable as possible.

All products are designed and manufactured in Wales and all materials are sourced from U.K companies, aiding the British economy.

If we say we will call you back today then we will. We understand that many of our customers run busy yards and businesses where time is money and for those customers who do not have businesses you probably have equally busy lives (being mum of 3, I understand that). There is nothing more frustrating than waiting for a response to an enquiry that doesn’t come.

Flexi-rac Products:

Corner feeder:

Fits neatly into the corner onto steel brackets (no loose tie rings), due to Velcro fixings it can easily be removed for cleaning and due to the flexible strip can be pushed back out of the way for mucking out. Comes in Pony, horse and XL horse sizes and diddies as a special order.

Portable feeder:

Designed for show, competition season, this feeder is great to take anywhere. It has an inner skirt (no dangerous draw strings or cords) to prevent the hay being tipped out (our naughty thoroughbred) and an optional bottom strap so it can’t be a punch bag (our heavy cob). This feeder can also be reduced in size and closed off at the bottom for use when traveling. A truly innovative design.

Field feeder:

Can be fixed to a straight pole, wall, post, etc. Velcro fixings so it is easy to remove and clean if it gets covered (no more like smothered) in mud. Again, with an inner skirt to reduce wastage. Can be used in stables where there is no suitable corner.

Trickle feeder:

Helps to control the horses access to hay, making the horse eat more slowly and naturally from the ground. Has all the great features of the corner feeder, brilliant for our pleasantly plump ponies or handsomely huge horses.
